Ingredients
1 lb ground chicken
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp parsley, chopped
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese (optional)
½ cup tomato sauce (for topping or dipping)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper.
3. On parchment paper, spread ground chicken into a ½-inch thick rectangle.
4. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the chicken. Add cheese if using.
5. Roll into a log using the parchment. Seal the edges.
6. Place on the baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and bake for 35–40 minutes.
7. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with tomato sauce.
Notes
Don’t overmix the meat to keep the texture tender.
Resting the roll helps retain juices and shape.
Add vegetables like spinach or peppers for extra flavor.
Use BBQ sauce instead of tomato sauce for a smoky variation.
