Ingredients
8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (plus more to taste)
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp chili flakes (optional for extra heat)
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
2. Toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
5. Add heavy cream and Parmesan. Stir until smooth.
6. Return pasta and shrimp to skillet. Toss to coat, adding pasta water as needed.
7. Finish with lemon juice, extra Cajun seasoning, and parsley. Serve hot.
Notes
Adjust spice level by increasing or reducing Cajun seasoning and chili flakes.
Use fresh shrimp for the best texture and flavor.
Add a splash of white wine for depth in the sauce.
Serve with crusty garlic bread or Caesar salad for a complete meal.
