  • Total Time: 80 mins
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs Ground Beef
1 medium Onio
1 cup Breadcrumbs
2 large Eggs
½ cup Milk
2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Black Pepper
½ cup Ketchup
2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard for the glaze and set aside
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the finely diced onion, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper
  4. Add the eggs, milk, and Worcestershire sauce to the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined
  5. Incorporate the ground beef into the mixture using your hands, being careful not to overmix
  6. Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan or form it into a loaf shape on the baking sheet
  7. Spoon about two-thirds of the glaze over the top of the meatloaf and bake for 45 minutes
  8. After 45 minutes, remove and spread the remaining glaze over the top of the meatloaf, then return to the ove
  9. Continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C)
  10. Let the meatloaf rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving

Notes

For best results, do not overmix the meat to keep it tender.

Using 80/20 ground beef ensures moisture and flavor.

Allowing the meatloaf to rest post-baking will help retain juices.
