Ingredients
2 lbs Ground Beef
1 medium Onio
1 cup Breadcrumbs
2 large Eggs
½ cup Milk
2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Black Pepper
½ cup Ketchup
2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard for the glaze and set aside
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the finely diced onion, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper
- Add the eggs, milk, and Worcestershire sauce to the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined
- Incorporate the ground beef into the mixture using your hands, being careful not to overmix
- Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan or form it into a loaf shape on the baking sheet
- Spoon about two-thirds of the glaze over the top of the meatloaf and bake for 45 minutes
- After 45 minutes, remove and spread the remaining glaze over the top of the meatloaf, then return to the ove
- Continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C)
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving
Notes
For best results, do not overmix the meat to keep it tender.
Using 80/20 ground beef ensures moisture and flavor.
Allowing the meatloaf to rest post-baking will help retain juices.
